<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
WHAT YOU NEED</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
- chalk board paint</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
- bowls (any size or shape)</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I am going to have to admit that i did not come up with this idea. However in saying that i wish it was me who came up with this. I received these as a Christmas gift from my sister in law . This was actually one of my favorite gifts i received this year. It was done in thoughtfulness and love.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
So you take a bowl and paint the outside of it with chalk board paint. You may have to do a couple of coats paint. And that is it. These bowls will be well used. Even for kids parties you can used colored chalk to add a little fun.. For cleaning you have to wipe outside with a damp cloth and inside with soapy water. Not dishwasher friendly ..</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Enjoy</div>

WHAT YOU NEED:</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
- mason jar </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
- coat hanger </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
- tea lights </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
- string and or ribbon </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
This craft only took minutes to do. It was to difficult to bend the coat hanger wire around the top of the jar. We ended up using Wire very similar to floral wire . It was much easier to bend. We wrapped the wire around the top of the jar twisting the ends and pushing it to the glass so the wire would not stick out. Then we took about a foot of the same wire. Bent it like a handle. we took the one end twisted it with the wire already on the jar and did the same with the other end. then we put the string on for decoration . You can use a ribbon to fancy it up or not put anything around it. A simple craft that anyone can do..</div>

I have to admit that 2012 was a busy year and I have been very neglectful of posting new crafts. I have decided that this will change this new year. New craft ideas will be posted at least once a month if not more. So keep an eye on this blog. I am hoping that whoever is following this will get the urge to craft and let there ideas and imagination flow. I wish all of you Gods blessings for this new year. ENJOY..Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00938194061009233692noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2283964668086528727.post-24761251800672393482012-09-21T07:21:00.000-04:002012-09-21T15:18:26.153-04:00WALL ART ( PARIS)<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
All you need is :</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
- 5 pieces of 18 inch wire</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
-Fabric of you choice</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
-glue</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
-wooden dowel</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
First you fold the wire in half ( do this to each wire) Twist wire around the dowel. You should end up with it looking like the first picture. Use a pen To stretch the circle part into an oval. Do this with all five wires. Then glue wires onto fabric. Let it dry. Once dry cut along the outer edge of the wire. Then twist all wires wires together and you get a flower. </div>Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00938194061009233692noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2283964668086528727.post-45100975817355095102012-04-25T17:38:00.000-04:002012-04-25T17:38:09.773-04:00WALL DECOR<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I am not 100 % happy with how this turned out. I don't always seem to be the best with delicate things.<br />
WHAT YOU NEED :<br />
- Sculpey clay<br />
- doilie<br />
-acrylic paints ( i used white and gold).<br />
<br />
Roll out the clay to about 1/4 inch thick. Cut to desired shape. Press doilie unto the clay and peel it off. Have the oven preheated to 275. Bake for 15-20 minutes. Let it cool. Paint desired colors.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00938194061009233692noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2283964668086528727.post-75994320482507378732012-04-23T19:05:00.000-04:002012-04-23T19:05:02.925-04:00HOUSE NUMBER SIGN<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

WHAT YOU NEED:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
-Wooden Board (craft store)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
-Wooden Numbers ( got mine at the dollar store)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
- Black and white Acrylic Paint ( dollar store)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
-Acrylic sealer/ finisher ( craft store)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
- 4 nails</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
So I was on the hunt for a number sign for the house. I needed a big one as no one could read my number that was there. While i was looking i found that they were very expensive. So i decided to make one Myself. The cost at the store was roughly $19 to $54. I spent a total of $4. But I already had the paints and the sealer.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Paint the numbers first. They may need 2 or 3 coats. And while they dry paint the board I did 2 coats on the board. After the numbers and the board is dry Nail the numbers on. After the number is nailed. Paint the nail heads white. After that is done spray 2 or 3 coats of sealer on to weather proof it. Finished. Frugal and beautiful. </div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This is a fun craft to do with the kids or just if you want to do it for yourself. Paint the bracelet the color you prefer. You might have to do 2 or 3 coats. It drys quite quickly. Now I chose polka dots. But you can do what ever design you like on it. After that drys Use the Acrylic sealer.You might want to do 2 coats of the sealer. The sealer does dry quickly as well. This keeps the paint from coming off and weather proofs it. </div>

<br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">This was such a simple thing to make. And you can do a lot more than just the holder . You can even make a bowl from it or coasters or even a place mat. You just have to follow these simple instructions.</span></span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">YOU WILL NEED :</span></span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">-Twine ( dollar store)</span></span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">- Glue Gun.</span></span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">You start the base by gluing the twine together. You have to glue along the sides. When you have the base as big as you would like it start placing the glue on top of the outer circle. And keep on doing that until you have the height you like. This only took me about an hour to do.</span></span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">Have fun.</span></span><br />

<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">This was a super easy craft to do. All you need is shrinky dink paper and follow the instructions. Erin and i had a lot of fun making the rings and the necklace charms. So many wonderful things you can do with this paper ( which you can buy at your local craft store) . My next venture with this paper will be to make some buttons. I was thinking about putting the instructions on to make these. But once you buy the paper the instructions are there. Fun to do with your kids as well.</span></span>Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00938194061009233692noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2283964668086528727.post-11002038484003959132012-04-04T09:03:00.001-04:002012-04-04T09:03:20.423-04:00PIN CUSHION<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">SUPPLIES</span></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">- glue gun</span></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">- card stock ( plain in color)</span></span></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">- Material ( your choice)</span></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">- cotton filler</span></span></div>

<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">- picture frame </span></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">First you will have to trace the heart with card stock.(cut out 2) Use the heart you traced to cut out a piece of fabric. Make sure you cut the fabric heart a 1/2 inch bigger than the paper heart. Glue cotton filler on one of the hearts. Make sure it is fluffy but not too fluffy. Place the cotton side of heart on fabric. Now glue fabric around the heart. Once that is done Glue the other heart on top of folded fabric.( fabric will be on oneside) Card stock on other. </span></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">Now you can paint your frame. Use your imagination. Once the frame is dry you can put the fabric heart in the slot the picture goes. The tabs in the back will hold the heart in place. </span></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">You can use any picture frame even a regular . </span></span> </div>

<br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">I was walking in value village just browsing and my eyes were struck by theses wooden rings. I looked at them for a while wondering what they were for and figured out the were rings for curtains. They were nothing fancy just plain wood rings. Then an idea popped into my head. They would make perfect napkin rings. </span></span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">So you need :</span></span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">-Wooden rings ( probably get them at Home depot)</span></span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">-Paint ( what ever color you prefer)</span></span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">-and some imagination. </span></span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">Quick and easy. What I love about theses is that you can repaint them over and over again to what ever you want to match them too.</span></span><br />

<br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">I was talking with a friend this past weekend and she was saying she had a hard time crocheting ( not one of my favorite things to do and i have difficulty with it as well) . So from the conversation sprang an Idea</span></span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"> This craft is a good one for learning to knit and sew.. As a kid I loved to finger knit. It was one of the first things my mom taught me to do. I would spend hours knitting one long string never knowing what my imagination would turn it into. Usually a snake ( how original) or a leash for a stuffed animal. But what ever it was i was proud to make it.</span></span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">So all you need for this craft is</span></span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">-YARN</span></span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">-THREAD</span></span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">-SEWING NEEDLE</span></span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">-SCISSORS</span></span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><br /></span></span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">Finger knit a long string (approximately 2 meters). Take your needle and thread and start sewing . You need to start at one end of the string curl it and stitch. Keep On winding the string around stitching it together. VOILA a coaster.</span></span>Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00938194061009233692noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2283964668086528727.post-23419068176326281612012-03-23T09:00:00.001-04:002012-03-23T09:00:59.333-04:00CANDLE HOLDERS<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">Another easy simple craft to do. I love polka dots. I think it is one of those things that can put a smile on someones face because they are fun. Wooden boxes I got from the dollar store ( I love that place too) and acrylic paints. That is all you need. Colors are of course again your choice. I painted the box and let it dry then, I put the other paint on a paper plate and dabbed a nail head in it to make the polka dots. You can use these as gift boxes or display boxes or even mini storage boxes depending on the size you get. </span></span>Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00938194061009233692noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2283964668086528727.post-78521095375277357462012-03-20T09:24:00.001-04:002012-03-20T16:36:29.931-04:00DECOR BALL<br />

<br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">Another easy project. You can do this for Christmas and for just a decoration for around the house. It does not have to be hung. You can make a few of these and put them in a bowl for a center piece at a table or on a mantel or coffee table. Again there are lots of possibilities with this.</span></span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">SUPPLIES :</span></span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">- foam ball ( size is up to you)</span></span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">- flower punch ( but you can use hearts or circles as well)</span></span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">- ribbon</span></span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">- paper ( your choice)</span></span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">- sewing pins</span></span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">I had to cut out about 30 flowers. All you have to do is pin the flowers around the ball until it is covered. I just pinned the ribbon on.. It is about a 1/2 hour project maybe a little less. </span></span>Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00938194061009233692noreply@blogger.com2
